You may have seen recently in the news in January 2018 that Thomas S. Monson, then prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died.  And you may have also noticed that Russel M. Nelson is the newest prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  For those who may not know, just as God talked to Moses, Noah and Jonah in days of old and commissioned them to tell the people of their worlds what the Lord wanted them to know, Mormons also believe that God talks to a prophet today for the same reason - to share what God wants the world to hear.
